One issue was that there was a buzzing on both the VGA and HDMI ends which became louder and quieter depending on what is on screen. The idea was for whenever I needed to use a console that requires me to use the HDMI on my monitor, I could switch between it and my PC (which is connected via VGA) without having to remove and reinsert my headphones everytime. I would then use another male to male cable with one end inside the Belkin splitter and the other in my computer monitor (which has HDMI/VGA/Audio Connector). My headphones would be connected to a 3.5 mm Mic/Headphone splitter, with the microphone end going into the Microphone jack of the computer and the headphone end going into the Belkin splitter (which has its own male connector out which goes into the Headphone jack of the computer).
